October 19th, 2009
<

In the post-war, I am not talking about handbags brand counterfeiting, I will give an overview of Gucci limited range for the Olympics. 8. Beiging in August 2008. Our Chinese people had no close relationship with the Olympics. As for the famous luxury brands, it seems that what they have done everything possible to publish their limited version of the Great Eastern countries. As the "Great Wall Show" from Fendi, the "Silk Road" by Pierre Cardin. Designed at the same time, one of the best known brands in the types of industry fashion Gucci products is limited to the general assembly. There were eight limited edition called '2008-8-8, they have a bike, a game of Mah-Jong, a panda with a single plate to see the Olympics, a pair of shoes, two red bags and relaxed. Share them all! A red bicycle sold at $ 3420. What a classic bike for Chinese! As the wheel of a postman in certain cities of China. Of course, there is a leather bag at the rear of the bike, which symbolizes the Gucci signature. As soon as I saw the Olympic Mah-Jong gave me a big surprise. In fact, play Mah Jongg, a quintessence of Chinese culture, while foreigners are experienced rarely. Perhaps it has been specially developed because the designers of their major roles in China, made by some Chinese movies, I think. It values the 3150th $ Then, a beautiful doll Panda, which costs $ 1050. I can not describe very well for him, even if I think like an alien with a caftan, speaks crosstalk. I particularly like her face hard. There are also a limited clock that costs $ 1415. It perfectly combines the colors red and black. Look carefully at the logo in 2008. Instead of the zero mark, it took the classic GG logo. And Gucci bags and shoes: It is said that all the elements I mentioned above, only boughtfrom designer label Gucci boutique in Hong Kong and mainland China can. What a shame! Nobody seems to collect, where they want to come in person to China. I ask me to really know if they were sold now.

Olympia 2008 – the Olympic Flame on Its Way

September 17th, 2009

The Olympic Torch was lit on Monday, March 31st, in the Chinese capital of Beijing. The flame was at first brought from the antic Olympia to the Panathinaikon Stadium in Athens. With the hope that the message of peace will be carried through the whole world the president of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Minos Kyriakou, handed the flame over to the principal of the Chinese Olympic Committee, Liu Qi.

There were around 10. 000 spectators at the ceremony. From Athens the flame was brought to Beijing on a special flight of the airline Air China. The plane had the inscription ?Journey of Harmony? and the Chinese national colors red and yellow. The national TV and hundreds of school kids with Chinese and Olympic flags in their hands were waiting for the arrival.

Liu Qi carried the flame out of the plane in a little lantern and brought it to the red carpeted Gate of Heavenly Peace. There the head of state and party leader lighted the torch and handed it over to China?s most famous athlete, the hurdler Liu Xiang.

Due to worries about protest actions, as there had been at the lighting ceremony at the historical site of Olympia in Greece, the hour-long event was accompanied by severe security precautions. Several policemen were present in the area, even at the surrounding roofs. The traffic was temporary paralyzed, some underground stations were blocked and walkers and cyclists were kept away.

To avoid protest actions there was no information about the details of the ceremony until Sunday. Unfortunately the organizers couldn?t keep away all of the demonstrators but the actions of these were not shown in the TV, because the alleged ?public viewing? was actually broadcasted with a one-minute delay. At the Tiananmen Square were only the 5000 imitated spectators allowed, including 220 foreign journalists. Some of the originally invited journalists were due to security reasons disinvited.

Most of the European politicians stayed away from the ceremony. The Czech Foreign Minister Karl Schwarzenberg had demanded the boycott of the opening ceremony. The reasons for the absence of several politicians, if due to personal or political motives, are not known. The German chancellor Angela Merkel assured her absence had nothing to do with a boycott. She had decided to don?t travel to Beijing long time before the disputes with Tibet started.

The ceremony was accompanied by a spectacular program, such as circus acrobatics and folklore dances were also some Tibetans in their traditional costumes participated. China?s Vice President Xi Jinping declared satisfied that the centuries-old dream of the Chinese nation to host Olympic Games finally became true.

During the following 130 days the torch will make its journey across the world. Planned is a relay across 20 countries with a distance of more than 137. 000 kilometers on five continents. This will be the longest torch relay in the Olympic history. Highlight of the relay will be the carrying of the flame to the world?s highest mountain, the Mount Everest. For this sensation there has been diverted already a part of a flame to bring it to the base camp of the for the Tibetans holy mountain. However; it is still not sure if this part of the route will be accomplished. The human rights group ?Human Rights Watch? demands the independent investigation of the disturbances before the torch may be carried through Tibet.

On Wednesday the torch was first carried to the Kazakh city Almaty and it is supposed to arrive to China again on May 4th 2008. Then it will be carried through more than 100 Chinese cities. At the same time the Dalai Lama sent another torch on its way, the ?Flame of Independence?. The torch was lit in the Indian city Dharamsala where the exile of the spiritual and temporal leader of the Tibetan Buddhists is located.

Three Cities for the 2008 Beijing Olympics

September 16th, 2009

Beijing, Qingdao and Hong kong will be the three cities for the 2008 Olympics. The most Olympic events will be held in Beijing, the sailing Competition will be held in Qingdao and the Equestrian Competition will be in Hong kong. When you come to Olympic Games and visit these cities, you can find so many interesting things beside Olympics.
Beijing is a city of amazing contrasts – an ancient capital with some incredible historical sites, and a bustling modern metropolis getting ready to host the 2008 Olympics. In Beijing, those places you should not miss:The Tiananmen Square- is the largest public square in the world. Forbidden City-is the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world. Temple of Heaven-was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Badaling Great Wall-is China most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China and most often visited for China tour. It is one of the best preserved sections and the highest point of the Great Wall; Summer Palace-is the most splendid imperial garden in China built in 1750. Hutong Trishaw Tour-you can take the rickshaw to drive through the old walking alleys to see the old living residence. You can also visit the local family to talk with them. This is a very good opportunity for you to have a real understanding of the local people life.
In Beijing, clusters of neighboring “Siheyuan”(Quadrangles), low and gray, make into many small alleys, most of which orderly laid out like a chessboard, running either from south to north or east to west. This sort of alleys is called “Hutong” in Peking dialect. All these alleys are the same. When you are in it, you will find and experience that every alley has something special to talk about, as it is full of life and stories.
While in Hong kong, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful environment of the spectacular islands and country parks. Walking the street here, you may know more about the culture of east and west combined. That is the reason why Hong kong is a city with nickname of Gourmets’ Paradise, City with a Passion, the City that Never Sleeps and Land of Limitless delights.
In Hong kong, these places you should not missed:Victoria Peak- It is one of Hong Kong leading tour destinations, which has breathtaking views of city famous skyline, Victoria Harbour and as well as the romantic South China Sea. Aberdeen- A harbor area crowded with junks and sampans, where 6,000 people live and work on junks. To get a close-up look at the Aberdeen way of life, you can take a sampan ride. Repulse Bay- It is the most famous beach of having the highest representative characteristics in Hong Kong by its long and wide beach, clean water, calm tide and gentle wave. ?When the lights go down, you head for Lan Kwai Fong, you will get a taste of Hong Kong unique nightlife.
Lan Kwai Fong is an L-shaped, cobble-stoned lane with numerous bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Visiting on a Friday or Saturday night, you may be overwhelmed by the enormous crowds that fill the streets, with all bars having only standing room. Most language you can hear here is English rather than Cantonese speaking.
The third city to talk about is Qingdao. As a sailing Olympic city, Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city in the southeast of Shandong Province. When you are here, never miss to go those places:
Mt. Laoshan- is different from many famous mountains in China. Lao Mountain rises from the sea level, and has a coast line of 87 kilometers, structuring a wonder on the sea. Take a walk around, with the sea on one side, and lofty stones and precipitous peaks on the other side, both majestic and elegant, you will enjoy those views without feeling to leave.
Taiqing Palace – As the birth place of Laozi, it has more than 140 rooms including Three Gods’ Hall, Three Purities’ Hall and Three Emperors’ Hall. There are five Taiji Palaces as the main buildings, a stone pillar with three cypresses around and many well preserved ancient articles.
The No. 1 Bathing Beach- is located at the Huiquan Beach, it is once the largest bathing beach in Asia. The surrounding mountains and green trees, modern building subtly combined traditional villas form a wonderful scene. The clear water and soft sands contribute to the superior natural conditions of the beach.
What’s more, every summer Qingdao hosts the Beer Festival. If you have an opportunity to attend it, you’ll see the best of Chinese beer drinking culture at the event. The many performances are sometimes hilarious, such as the beer drinking competition. Who is the fastest one to chug a bottle of Qingdao beer? You will be surprised that it’s the ladies who excel at this admirable skill at often times. There are large variety of beer to sample, from all over Asia and Europe, as well as our well known North American brands.

The 2008 Olympics

September 16th, 2009

Bidding for the Olympic Games, in a way, an image-creating undertaking. The first and foremost thing is to let people fall in love with the city at first sight, attracting them by its unipue image. What image does Beijing

intend to create for itself once it has the opportunity to host the 2008 Olympics?

It is known to all that the Beijing Municipal Government has already set the theme for the future games: New Beijing, Great Olympics. For me, the 2008 Olympics will be a great green Olympics illuminated with two more special colors, yellow and red.

First, yellow is a meaningful color. The Yellow River is China’s Mother River and the descendants of the Yellow Emperor. This color has a special origin and great significance for the Chinese people. Beijing is the capital of New China and previously the capital for nine dynasties in Chinese history. So, yellow will naturally add splendor to the 2008 Games.

Secondly, the 2008 Olympics will be a red pageant. Red is another traditionally cherished color for the whole country. We adore red. On big occasions, we like to decorate our homes in red. It is the color of double happiness, representing joyous moments, auspiciousness, enthusiasm and prosperity. Red is one of the most suitable colors to describe the future of Beijing . Beijing , together with the whole country, is becoming more and more prosperous in the process of modernization. Should the 2008 Olympics be held in Beijing, the whole city will be a sea of red : the red torch, red flags, red flowers, and the radiant faces of millions of joyful people.

Above all, the 2008 Olympics will be a green Olympics. Adding a green ingredient is essential in creating an appealing image, as we can’t deny the fact that Beijing, at the moment, is not as green a city as what we like it to be. Striving for an environmentally appealing city has become a central task for all the citizens of Beijing. Big efforts have been made in pollution control, replanting and beautification of the city. According to a project entitled” The Green Olympic Action Plan”, between 1998 and 2007, Beijing, we have invested 100 billion RMB in preserving and protecting the environment. Some 12. 5 million trees and over 1 million acres of grass will be planted along the Fourth Ring Road. By then, the city’s green area will make up 40% of its total. The city will also dredge its reservoirs used as a water supply to Beijing residents, controlling industrial pollution and moving out the 200 factories presently located within the city proper.

Certainly, all of this is no easy task. But I am sure that all of us have confidence that we will realize these green goals. For now we have the full support and participation of the environmentally conscious citizens. Each

citizen is showing great concern for every one of the steps the city government takes. As the saying goes, United, we stand, and a green Beijing will be achieved.

When our aspiration becomes a reality, it will be a unique Olympics. ” New Beijing, Great Olympics”; will be weaved of these three superb colors: yellow, red and green.

Let us welcome it and look forward to it! Thank you!
